Ethiopia is rolling out the Fayda national digital ID, and mobile money through Telebirr is growing fast. IdentifyOrg offers Addis Ababa teams phone verification by SMS and document, liveness and face checks, with prices shown in birr.
Fayda is issued by the National ID Program. A direct lookup is on our roadmap and is not available yet. Document OCR, liveness and face match work today for Ethiopian customers.
Amharic, Oromo and English are widely used. Amharic text is sent as Unicode, which fits fewer characters per SMS segment, so keep templates short. Mobile numbers look like 091 123 4567 locally and +251911234567 internationally.
BVN verification, NIN verification, Driver's licence (FRSC), Bank account name check, BVN to account match, CAC business registry check, Credit bureau score, Bills (airtime, data, electricity, TV), Business payment gateway (collections) depend on Nigerian records and are available for Nigeria only.
