Europe has no single company register; each country runs its own, with its own fields and its own ideas about what 'active' means. This API maps four open registers, and the US SEC's filer list, to one response, and tells you where a register does not provide something.
UK: status, dates, address, SIC codes, officers. Norway: status including bankruptcy and winding-up, legal form, address, industry, officers, and whether the company is VAT-registered. Czechia: name, registration and cessation dates, address, VAT ID, legal form. France: status (active or ceased), dates, address, activity code and the listed leaders. US: SEC filers only, with address, industry and tickers.
Every response has status as active, dissolved, insolvency or unknown, plus the register's own wording in status_detail. A register that gives no status, as with the SEC filer list, returns unknown with an explanation instead of claiming active.
Germany, Ireland, Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain and Italy are not wired: their registers need registration, charge, or have no open interface we could verify. We add a country only when its register is free and has been tested.
Officers are returned only on request, are marked as personal data in the response and are never included in the free web tool. A check is billed only when the register answered; an unreachable register returns 502 and no charge.

company = r.json()["company"]
print(company["name"], company["status"], r.json()["source"]["name"])No. Four open registers plus the US SEC filer list. The list grows only where a free official register exists and we have tested it.
There is no free national register of US companies; private companies are registered by each state. SEC filers (listed and other registrants) are the part with a free federal source.
Only where the register publishes them: the UK, Norway and France. Czechia's register does not.
