Document OCR reads South African ID cards and books, passports and licences, returning the 13-digit ID number, which encodes the date of birth you can cross-check against what the customer typed. Liveness and face match complete the check.
A live lookup against Home Affairs records is not available, and we do not claim a result is a Home Affairs match.
