UK businesses need to confirm a person is real and holds the phone they gave you, without a national ID card to lean on. IdentifyOrg offers SMS verification codes, passport and driving licence reading, liveness and face match through one API, with prices shown in pounds.
The United Kingdom has no national identity card, so remote checks rest on a passport or a driving licence. Document OCR reads either, liveness shows a real person is present and face match compares the selfie to the document photo. We do not run checks against Home Office, DVLA or credit-reference data, and we say so rather than imply a government match.
Personal data is governed by the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, overseen by the Information Commissioner's Office. We store only a salted hash of each SMS code and return results rather than raw identity data. UK mobile numbers start 07 locally and +447 internationally; the leading 0 is dropped when +44 is added.
