Small PDF Jobs You Can Do in Your Browser: Edit, Merge, Split, Compress and Sign
Most PDF jobs are tiny: fix a typo, join two files, pull out three pages, shrink a file for email. You don't need expensive software for any of them.

Be honest. Most times you open a PDF editor, you're doing one tiny thing.
You need to fix a name. Or stick two documents together. Or send only pages 3 to 5 of a long contract. Or make the file small enough to go through email.
Yet those small jobs have usually meant installing heavy software or paying a monthly subscription. You don't have to. Here's how each one works in your browser.
Change the text in a PDF
The PDF editor opens your PDF right in the browser. You click on the text and edit it, and the layout, fonts and page size stay the same. Then you export it back to a PDF. It's perfect for fixing typos, updating a date or a price, or changing a name, as long as it's a document you're allowed to edit.
Merge several PDFs into one
Put multiple PDFs together in the order you choose. People use this to assemble an application pack, join a month of invoices, or add a cover page to a report. Try Merge PDFs.
Pull out just the pages you need
Send only the section that matters. You can pick ranges and single pages, like 1-3,7,9-. Handy when you don't want to share a whole 60-page contract. See Split / extract pages.
Make a PDF smaller
Big PDFs bounce back from email and eat people's data. Compression cleans out unused parts and extra information to shrink the file. Try Compress PDF, then check it still reads clearly.
Add a watermark
Stamp "DRAFT" or "CONFIDENTIAL" or your company name across the pages. It's a quick way to mark a document before you share it. Here's the watermark tool.
Sign a PDF
Add your signature to a form or agreement without printing, signing and scanning it. Use Sign PDF.
Lock and unlock
- Protect a PDF with a password before sending something private: Protect.
- Unlock a PDF you own the password for, so you can edit or print it: Unlock.
When the change is big
If you need to rewrite a lot, convert the file to Word with PDF to Word, edit it there, and turn it back with Word to PDF. We cover how to get a clean result in Converting a PDF to Word without wrecking the layout. For scanned pages, run OCR first to get text you can select.
A few habits that save trouble
- Keep the original before you edit or compress anything.
- Name your versions (
contract-v2-signed.pdf) so nobody sends the wrong one. - Remove sensitive pages with split, instead of just hiding them.
- Password-protect anything with personal or financial details.
- Only edit documents you're allowed to change.
Your files stay yours
All of this runs on our own servers. No outside file service ever receives your documents, and nothing is kept after the job. The pricing page lists what each tool costs, and you can browse all of them on the tools page.
