Pay Bills and Get Paid From One IdentifyOrg Account

It is the end of the month. Your light is about to go, the DStv has expired, a customer says they paid you on Friday, and you cannot find the transfer.

Three small problems, three different apps, and one very long evening.

We built two things on IdentifyOrg to take that evening away: a place to pay your bills, and a way to get paid that tells you exactly who paid you. Both work from the same account and the same balance.

Paying bills

Open Buy Bills in your dashboard. You can pay for:

• Airtime for any network: MTN, Glo, Airtel and 9mobile.
• Data bundles, with the real list of plans and prices for each network.
• Electricity, prepaid or postpaid. For prepaid meters the token appears on the screen as soon as the payment goes through.
• TV subscriptions for DStv, GOtv, StarTimes and more.

Here is how a payment goes.

1. Choose what you are paying for. Airtime, data, electricity or TV.

2. Enter the number. A phone number, a meter number or a smartcard number.

3. Check the name. For electricity and TV, press Check the name. You see who the meter or smartcard belongs to before any money moves. That one step stops most "I paid the wrong person" stories.

4. Pay. You see the amount, the small fee if there is one, and the total. Then the money leaves your IdentifyOrg balance.

If a payment does not go through, you are refunded automatically. You do not have to chase anyone.

For developers

If you build apps, shops or wallets, the same bills are available through our API. The bill prices, bundle lists and fees can be read without a key, so your app can show real prices. Payments need a secret key, and a test key lets you finish your whole integration without spending a naira. Send an Idempotency-Key with each payment so a retry can never pay a bill twice. Getting paid

If you run a business, the hardest part of being paid by transfer is knowing who sent what.

On IdentifyOrg you can give each of your customers their own bank account number. When money arrives in that number, you know it came from that customer. No more screenshots of transfer alerts.

You can also send a customer a card payment link. They open it, pay, and you see the payment.

Everything lands in one place:

• See every payment, with who paid, how much, and when.
• Withdraw to your own bank account once the money has settled.
• Refund a payment, in full or in part, when you need to.
• Get a notice on your dashboard whenever something needs your attention.

You can start without business registration. New accounts begin with a limit, and the limit lifts when you verify your business.

Try it with test money first

Switch to Test mode in your dashboard and create a customer account number. You can pretend a customer paid into it and watch the whole flow, from payment to refund, without any real money moving. When you are happy, go live.

One balance for everything

Your IdentifyOrg balance already pays for identity checks, SMS and the rest. Now it also pays your bills, and your customers' payments sit in the same dashboard. One login, one balance, one place to look when something does not add up.
