A check says our verification service could not complete it

Sometimes the official record we check is slow or briefly unavailable. When that happens we tell you that our verification service could not complete the check, and you are not charged. If you used one of your free checks, it is given back.

1. Wait a minute and try the same check again.
2. If it keeps failing for more than a few minutes, contact support and tell us the time and what you were checking.

Not the same as 'not found' or 'blocked'

• Not found: the number was checked and no record exists. That is a completed check. See why a check says not found.
• Blocked: the record exists but cannot be verified. Ask the owner to contact the issuing authority.
